Jars colonizing slowly

well i inoculated 6 pf, 6 b+ half pint jars on Sep. 15 the pf jars that were done in the pc are all but ready, and the ones done in pots aren't to far behind. However the b+ is lagging with the best jar only about 40% colonized. 3 of them showed no signs of myc, and were seperated. I'm pretty much just gonna let them contam, to see what kind of colours i get.
I'm pretty sure the problem is that the water content is too high from the water bubling up into them in the pots. Is there any way to speed colinozation? Could i mabey take the foil, and tape off the top of the jars to let some of the water evaporate, or would that be a to risky?
by the way i have a layer of foil, a layer of tyvek, the lid, tape, and a layer of foil on the jars.

Pull that tape that could be why your jars are a stallin! The lack of C02 is why the slow colonization time. Jmo

lack of co2 wouldnt inhibit growth. mycellium produces co2 as a waste from o2 respiration. if u have tyvek with no puncture holes in it i would remove everything between that and the outside environment. if you have puncture holes going through all those layers of crap you have on your jars then leave the tape on. providing a way for air to transfer into and out of the jars is a good way to keep water content at an acceptable level (too wet is worse then too dry). but this air transfer has to be sterile, i.e. through a tyvek lid or a polyfill stuffed hole.

He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty." -Al Einstein

Are you keeping you jars at roughly 85 degrees and dark? Otherwise I agree with previous posts.

yes, but the humidity is pretty high in the incubator. I have a submersable fish tank heater sitting in a ceramic pot covered with foil. I had to clean out the incubator because there was some standing water in it.

I'd suggest try taking everything off except that jar lid on the one with no growth. If it doesn't start colonizing soon, they are a lost cause anyways.
If I were you, I'd just peal off everything on colonizing jars and restart the non colonizing jars all together. This is just a personal thing, I guess. I don't think I can stand to watch it grow that slowly when I don't have other mushrooms to tend to. But then that's just me.
