"Tolerant" Liberals Strike Again

U.S. National - Reuters
Bush-Cheney Office in Tennessee Hit by Gunshots

1 hour, 10 minutes ago

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Reuters) - A Bush-Cheney campaign office in Knoxville, Tennessee was hit by at least two gunshots apparently fired from a passing vehicle on Tuesday but no one was hurt, police said.

The shots were fired before the office opened for the day and shattered two glass doors.

Darrell DeBusk, a spokesman for the police department in Knoxville, said the motive for the incident was not known and no one working in the Bush-Cheney campaign office or any of the nearby businesses had reported any threats.

"You'd like to think it was just random," he said.

The campaign office, which also houses the Knox County Republican Party headquarters, was clearly marked with a banner promoting the re-election of President Bush (news - web sites) and Vice President Dick Cheney (news - web sites).

Police are investigating and are forwarding information to federal officials in case the shooting turns out to be a hate crime, DeBusk said.

"It's ridiculous. Somebody could have been here," said Carol Knaffl, a campaign volunteer at the office.

DeBusk said at least two shots were fired at the building, which is in a row of businesses in a shopping area in west Knoxville. He said the shots appeared to have been fired from a vehicle in the parking lot outside.

What's shameful is that this was just a campaign office, rather than the White House itself.

double post, it's already been proven to be LearyFan who
fired the shots just after tearing down their signs.

it was posted in the 'LearyFan spotted' thread.

Not that I approve, but they're the ones who started a war. Don't throw stones in glass houses.

Indeed. It makes the assumption that one must be liberal to be anti-Bush.
