I would just like to say that maushrooms can kill you. If you have a mushroom that was not prepared right, it can be poisonous enough to kill you. Now the FDA will try to scare you but they base it off fact. Now my qustion is how many actually cases of deaths are there becuase of posionous mushrooms??

apparently i and many others in this forum have been fooled, thanks for your wisdom we are all a lot smarter now. doing mushrooms will kill us all and those of us who have done it will die very soon. im glad you cleared that up for us.
what fact does the FDA base that off of? i havent heard one incident where a person died from eating a psilocybe mushroom prepared in any manner, however if you eat AMANITA then you risk dying. there are many cases of people dying from poisonous mushrooms, but none of them are psilocybin. please read up on erowid.com they have all you will ever need to know

Sorry to disappoint you but there have been two deaths attributed to psilocybe baeocystis, both in the ealry 1960s and both were 6-10 year old children who ate the mushrooms in meals as edibles cooked by their parents.
All of the parents were also intoxicated by the shrooms.
Although the death was attributed to psilocybine and the substance baeocystine, I would liek to remind all that other mushrooms could have been involved.

And a young Frenchman who died after consuming Psilocybe semilanceata in France.

that frenchman as i recall, was a dubious diagnosis. :) but maybe ive been fooled. heh.
i can beleive it tho. these are powerful substances. when you cant tell the trees from the sky and your body is numb and unresponsive and evrything is twisted you wonder if you have in fact died and this is it. :) then you start laughing and realize. "woah man, im just a little too fucked up"
