Two of my Qt jars are to wet and they contain grain .I was wondering if I should just put a filter disc on them and see if it will dry out ,or should I just give up on them cuz they will eventually contaminate .

Moisture droplets are fine for a moist environment A too wet jar will have a waterline at the bottom of some sort, short of that if grains are looking nice and separate they should be fine. I suppose I should ask what type grains are you using?

so long as the is no standing water at the bottom of the jar tis true you are golden....wbs can be tricky but the rewards are handsom when you recieve them... kramer mixes in verm with his wbs/millet @ 2:1 (wbs/verm) a sure fire way to get it right every time.... however that is in 1/2 pint and pints....QTs is hole differen't ball game.....rye is probably the best way to go with QTs

Do you mix water into your verm or do you just mix it in dry?

Those WBS jars sound too wet to me.
I just tossed a bunch of quart jars for the same reason. Mycelium couldn't grow in the over-saturated grain.
Probably best to start over and be more careful about the h20.

loosen up your lids or take th tape off the holes, if you have any on there. when it's in your incubator, the moisture will start to evaporate out of your jars. Your incubator will get really humid inside. I've actually had condensed moisture form puddles in the bottom of a full incubator before. Just air out the incubator every few days. Maybe even put some dessicant in there to soak it up.
Just an idea to dry out and save those jars.

mix it in dry with extra wet wbs(soaked for 24hrs) and mix it well...you want it moist like when you do brf you can mix in a little more verm or hold back it's all up to you... wbs can be much more forgiving with some verm mixed in!
