Ok,here's the dealio:
--I have 10 jars that I innoculated almost 2 weeks ago. Three are doing pretty good, but the rest show no growth WHAT SO EVER. We've had one contam. Here's a question-What are some signs of too much moisture or not enough.

You should check out some of the basic Teks on this site which explain how to check your vermiculite to see if it has enough water or not. If you've already mixed it with flour though it's too late (assuming you're doing PF Style). Like liveby said though, just flip the jars open and hope they start to change. Just give them as much time as they want. I've had some jars that grow extreeeeemely slow compared to others.

You have removed the tape over the holes right? That is if you even used tape in the first place that is

Yeah, well, I had tape on before innoculation, then left the holes exposed. About 2 or 3 days ago, I retaped the holes, then just today I removed the tape. I'm just getting impatient, I know.
Also, the strain is Ecuador if that has anything to do with slow growth.

EQ's can be a bit slower  I'd leave that tape off after inoculating  use foil on lids and flip them. And as always remind yourself patience is a virtue! GL

can't just get a long match, burn the outside, then stick it in deep to see if you can get few wet spots? I don't think ash would hurt the mycelium.

Just my 2 cents.

The hole you put through the dry verm layer down into the substrate (or holes) could hurt though.
