Ok, its been 2 weeks since i innoculated a dozen pf jars... Ones alomost finished colonizing, but the others are lookin like they gave up, i think it might be cause i dont let enough air in them... I have them covered with syran wrap so no contams can get it... could this be the reason im getting such little growth?

that is the reason you aren't getting any growth. A layer of vermiculite on top of your substrate will give you all the protection you need. Don't ever tape your holes or block them for that matter. Take the saran wrap off and let the finish.

wait wait, so jars shouldnt be topped? just have the vermiculite chillin there?.. i do notice that the growth of my non-toped ones is much faster than the ones with tops..

I think if you use tin-foil instead of lids, they get more air and colonize faster without contaminating , keep them away from dust and stuff..

I have 3 jars that I incoculated last night and sealed them up should I take the lids off or will they be okay?
