This question is asked at least once a week. There are just way too many variables in a grow.

Extremely sorry, I feel so ignorant but the search engine is not specific enough. Is it possable to see a nice cake flush in a week, thats more or less all I need to know. I appreciate everyone for putting up with us noobs and posting valid information over and over again, its what makes the shroomery one of the most people friendly websites. thanks

Count on two weeks. It usually takes little over a week to see pins, then they shoot up and mature in 2-4 days USUALLY.

ok, these are estimates here, so anyone feel free to straighten this out a smidgen.
if using grain, expect at least a week for your jars to colonize. if with PF tek method, expect 2-3 weeks for jars to colonize. expect another 2 weeks for knotting/pinning, and another week or two for pins to mature fruits...
but all in all, some of the fastest i've seen were done in around a month by experienced people on here, but expect at least two months or more to get your first harvest.

I just harvested my first batch five weeks after innoculation using the pftek BRF method. I must be doing something right.

Yep, sure are =). Congrats. 5 Weeks is a good time. PF cakes take a little while because you cannot shake them like grain to speed colonization along. That is why we innoc in four holes instead of one. Using liquid myc also will help. But generally, if you can harvest within 4-6 weeks, you have done good =)

4-10 weeks from innoculation. 1 1/2-3 weeks from birth until first harvest. Depending on if your using cakes or casings, the strain, conditions, how sweetly you talk to them, everything.
