Are you sure its a contam? what speices of myc are you trying to save, its growing on cardboard right? looks fine to me if its oyster mycelium.

lol.. its ps. sub mycelium
let me elaborate, that carboard is three layers a top layer (smooth) a middle layer (corregated) and a bottom layer (smooth). thats a pic of the top layer. heres a pic of the bottom layer :

the bottom layers fine, nice, bright, white, rhizomorphic growth, but the top layer is more fuzzy (cause it had to go through a bit of cardboard). and the lighting may make it look like oyster in the first pic (i think), you can see the myc coming off kangaroo dung in the bottom layer pic.

now the orange stuff looks threatening, im thinkin a cue-tip with the cotton dipped in lysol and dab it on that orange crap. Any disagreements?

Ah much clearer, Psilocybe subaeruginosa is one tough fucker, I wouldnt worry. And I still cant quite see the contam, looks more like mycelial sweat to me.

I've seen it devour green mould and ink cap mycelium, I've even seen it colonise a house brick. Let it fight it out, I would put ?100 on the P subaeruginosa winning the battle.

Heres mine fruiting for the second year running.

If you want to clone it, place a peice onto agar with h2o2 in, or just place a cleanish section onto fresh spawn medium.
