I am planning a camping trip in the mountains in a few weeks and was wondering if there are any edible/active species that will be growing there at the end of the month.(tennesee)what kinds of mushrooms shuold I look for at that time of year? thanks in advance!

You could have searched the site before asking this question, it says that 'Psilocybe cubensis
Psilocybe caerulipes
Gymnopilus aeruginosus
Gymnopilus luteofolius' all grow in Tennesee.l

they say cubensis season is over, but i found some in a cow pasture a few days ago.

as for the other active species, good luck, i've never found any and identified them surely enough.

be sure to look up those species and find their habitat, it will help you know where to look.
