Interesting tree stump carving
    #3212295 - 10/04/04 02:25 AM (12 years, 5 months ago)

I was hanging out a local park, going for a nice hike with my digital cam and I came upon this tree stump. Looks pretty neat and a strange thing to find out in the middle of nowhere, miles into the woods of a state park.

A pretty nice sculpture to go along with the fall season

Definitely some skill, I wonder what it was made with? The fact that it was so far away from civilization or a power source is strange. It makes me think that they used a gas operated saw.. but if that's the case, what kinda saw is powerful enough to cut through the thick stump while delicate enough to make those shapes. I also cant imagine someone lugging anything big out there. No way a vehicle could drive through that part of the woods.

ya jesus those are unreal. first one is mind blowing.

totalyl eris. youd be suprised what people can do with chain saws...can get diff atatchments for carvign with them as well. i used to do things liek that, but they are pretty pathetic in comparison. i got 1 pic of what i call "the Gaurdian" out at carmanah walbran park. totally majestic place, and the stump man jsut sets teh mood!

Nothing in comparison, but my friend jsut sent me the pics of our day trip. here is The Gaurdian (gaurding 2000-3000 year old red cedars and the tallest trees in canada-the carmanah giants).
