evry single cowpie in the feild is covered with panaeolus sphinctrinus, some so large they are the size of doorknobs.
sadly however ive yet to se a psychadellic mushroom. ive left the p. sph. in the feild but on one particular dung pie i came across these specimines. at first i thought i had found paneolus castenifolies. but im not so sure, looks a bit like they could be paneolina foenisecci. oh well, im still waiting.

heres a different fellah. these guys grow in dung. purple-brown sporeprint, translucent pellicule, slight reminicent veil, hollow stipe. looks like some type of psylocybe or stropharia. these are over 4 inches tall.

I would go with Panaeolus castaneifolius* on the top photograph.
God, those mushrooms are the greatest. (my favorite)
You see any blue on the stems?
Top picture, the one on the far right told me Pan Caster.
Eternally jealous of this find,
(for now at least),

The pellicled one is likely Psilocybe (Stropharia) semiglobata. It was recently moved from Stropharia to Psilocybe. Inactive but you are looking at the right attributes for hallucinogenic mushrooms.

semiglobata was my first guess. they are quite common around here. ive always suspected that was the speceis, just needed a second oppinion. these guys are pretty big, not much smaller than cubensis. however inactive. (i knew this too) :)
as for the pans, they are all the same speceis as they were growing from the same peice of dung all within the same 3 square inches. it was really too dark to notice bluing.
im headed out again today to a different feild, they havent let the cows out yet at my regular feild. so im off to check some other pastures i know that milk cows graze in where i normally find most of my libs in the fall. wish me luck, ill bring a few paper bags to keep speceis separate, ill bring back lots to look at. :) seeya.

Hi Mitchnast, the top photos seem to be Panaeolina foenisecii
and the bottom ones are probably as workman eidientifed them as Stropharia, maybe semiglobata???
Nice collection. right now Imy P. fimetaria patch has been destroyed by the city while uprooting old plants and replanting new ones into the soil, plus new soil. A whole nother crop of something strange int he neighborhood came up. SOmeintg orange and nasty looking. Definately not Psilocybe.
Anyway,
Have a shroomy day.
