Pereskiopsis and peyote
    #3210781 - 10/03/04 08:28 PM (12 years, 26 days ago)

I've been wondering a few things about grafting Pereskiopsis to peyote. 1 - How long will my peyote seeds take to sprout and grow to grafting size? 2. What types of conditions do the seedlings like? I was going to try sprouting them in cactus soil if I get some. 3. Once they are grafted how long does it take them to mature?

"There is a world beyond ours, a world that is far away, nearby, and invisible. And there is where God lives, where the dead live, the spirits and the saints, a world where everything has already happened and everything is known. That world talks. It has a language of its own. I report what it says. The sacred mushroom takes me by the hand and brings me to the world where everything is known. It is they, the sacred mushrooms, that speak in a way I can understand. I ask them and they answer me. When I return from the trip that I have taken with them, I tell what they have told me and what they have shown me."

1. 2-4 weeks 2. Moist soil and high humidity. Simply have good draining soil leveled 1/2" below the rim and wrap clear wrap over top. 3. It takes 5-9 months then it should start puping then graft onto a columar cacti ie. san pedro, peruvian torch.

mushmush.com has a great cacti meathods section

i heard it's very quick like 3 months on perks. 3 months till the buttons get pretty large maybe 1" diameter....i'll see if i can find the image.

it's here at the bottom.

Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

I recently read a month or two would be ideal (although it's been done in far less time)

when younger, apparently the vascular ring isn't fully developed. so it will grow the way it needs to.
