Need ID on these Seattle Amanitas
    #3210711 - 10/03/04 07:58 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

The weather is too hot and dry for psilos but amanitas appear to be doing just fine. Here are two different strains I came across near my house this morning.

This one I believe is A. Muscaria, the mature ones have a richly colored red cap and are often over 6 inches tall with caps over 6 inches across.
Gills: Pure White
Veil: White and very noticable on the thick stem

These ones were found in a different spot on the same block. They are much smaller as you can see and the caps are orangish rather than red.

I'm very curious, thx!

The first is a classic muscaria, the other two I believe are gemmata although they could be a variation of muscaria. Either way they will contain the same chemicals.

Peace
