ecstatic rapture

I must report the most unusual experience i have ever had in my life. Last night a drum circle played with such intensity that i felt as if i lost control of my body and went into the most miraculous dance imaginable. I am a tight, rigid, fellow and have never danced before; it is impossible that "I" could have danced like that. It felt as I were possessed by the Spirits of the Ancestors and i nearly thought i was going to have a heart attack either from the enrgy coursing through the body or from exhaustion. After the initial rapture i continued to dance although it felt at times as if the ego was there and i had some sort of control. My feet bleed from dancing on the brick sidewalk without shoes and the crowd was amazed at the beauty of the Dance. I dont think that they realized that i was in some kind of possesion. Has anyone had a similar experience of possession on Shrooms. Another point during the trip it seemed as if the world froze for a moment, as i stood outside time. It was truly miraculous although disappointing to come back into the ego after such an open loving experience.

mit- for you to say "it is impossible that "I" could have danced like that" would be saying as if you didn't believe you could dance at all. If you just tell "yourself" it was possession then you've made it that. Do you ever think about dancing again? One of those phrases i heard when i was a kid... "Just put your mind to it and.." Maybe the shrooms gave you the imagination to dance. When im listening to any techno i love to dance. It is like i have to dance now. The shrooms give me ecstatic energy to perform. Dancing helps me relieve stress too. "Dance like nobody is watching" -somebody Peace, Droz

i can get into very interesting states dancing at raves, but maybe not to the extent you did....bleeding feet!?! sounds like a nice avenue to explore, check out tarot key 21, the world, depicting the androgynous dancer....a nice place to be.

I now believe that ecstatic feeling is the flow of serotonin to the body and that beat of music was breaking you away from the false rythm holding you down.
