hey everyone, im in st.john's NL and iv'e being picking liberty caps here for 3 years
this year i was thinking about somehow takeing 20 or so LCs i have and putting them somewhere in my back yard in hopes to have them grow back there and keep on growing in my yard for years to come

what would be my best bet to do so??

When I used to go picking those here in the UK, it was common practice to crush a few and leave em behind to let grow some next year. But being a coprophilous fungi the shite is probably the important thing. Maybe crush a bunch with some various types of animal poo and dump it in a shallow hole in your lawn..

Worth a try, but I'd wait for one of the experts of this site to give a more definitive answer m8.

liberty caps are not "coprophilous fungi" they are grass dwelling. it so happens they prefer grass that is well manured
