Mushroom Huntin Trip
    #3208400 - 10/02/04 11:43 PM (12 years, 3 months ago)

Just got in from a mushroom hunting trip. No luck with psilocyban mushrooms, but we had luck with other stuff. Found some golden yellow amanitas that seemed a little smaller then I expected, and with most of the warts washed off, but we have to return to that site to get them once they grow a bit. I think they are the Gemmed amanitas, but we will have to go back there and dig it up. Also found some Shaggy Parasols which were growing like crazy in Cornwall Park in Bellingham. Am gonna wait to confirm a white, rather then green, spore print, then try a small amount to test for allergies (The evergreen U guy says some people have allergies). How much should we eat when we are testing for allergies? A teaspoon? Overall a fun trip. I don't have pics from this trip but I am trying to get the digital camera working again. It's been dry around here but rain is forcast all next week.

When testing for allergies (and other similar problems), eat less than a teaspoon, well cooked. You should know within 24 hours.

Happy mushrooming!
