This is a question for all who have experienced both Mescaline and shrooms.
Which one do you prefer most? and why?

mesc, mor my style. shrooms, although havnt done many, are more of a visual cool feeling for me. mesc is a more meaningfull and "soul searching" type of trip. more down to earth and natury. i love both, but prefer mesc. also like the fact that it takes so long, makes the trip more meangfull. and it majifies your willy

San pedro is incredible but I don't tend to take it as often as shrooms because of the physical difficulty of ingesting it. Pedro is the gentlest of the psychedelics and a wonderful teacher, (not that shrooms arn't). Shrooms seem a little wilder and more humourous. Both are great in nature. Hard to say which I prefer - if you could take san pedro without ingesting the cactus juice it would be close but I think shrooms would still just take the lead.

I'd take the down to earth, peaceful, energetic, colorful 12 hour trip to four hour mind-bending intensity anyday.

Never tried peyote. To buy half a dozen 10-20 year old peyote in Europe would cost close to ?1000
Also there's the nausea difference - peyote has around 60 other alkaloids as opposed to San Pedro's 6. Likely to be heavier nausea with peyote and I get enough nausea from pedro.
If you're interested in cacti it might be worth checking out the book "Sacred Cacti" by K. Trout. Probably the most exhaustive and complete reference work on peyote and pedro around.

It all depends on the type of experience I want at the moment.
They are definitely equal in my honest opinion.

Yeah it's going to be different to pedro but K. Trout says in his reference work "Sacred Cacti" that the effects from Pedro and peyote are close enough that there's no need to harvest Peyote from the wild anymore.
But if you're growing peyote yourself then good luck man. Hope it works out for you after the long wait!

thanks. he gave his agenda away when he said this "...no need to harvest Peyote from the wild anymore". sounds liek he is trying to discourage people from poching them, rightfully so. but htat may have tainted his writings to say peyote isnt as good as it really is so as to help sve the cacit in its native home. i cant wait to try peyote. its a truely reare and magical thing to be able to try it, not many ever have the chance.
