"Of course we're after Suddam Hussei...uh..I mean.. uh.. Bin Laden."
I couldn't believe it when he said that. What a dufus.

At least he corrected himself. What about Kerry referring to "weapons of mass destruction crossing the border every day"?
Or Lehrer -- "Mr. President, has Iraq been worth the cost in American lives -10,052 - I mean 1,052 up to today?"

Why is it a "Freudian slip" when Bush does it but not the moderator of the debate or Bush's opponent? Hell, I've been caught typing "Evolving" rather than "EchoVortex", "Iraq" rather than "Kuwait". Sometimes I've caught it before hitting the button to post, sometimes not. The EchoVortex-Evolving thing I've done at least twice. Come to think of it, I think I've done it three times.

I thought a bigger slip was when Bush insinuated that "We were attacked" by Saddam. I'm glad that Kerry caught him in the act. I don't know whats worse, Bush and Cheney casually linking Saddam to 9/11, or the fact that a majority of Americans still believe it.

He also said "every asset at our disposal", but it sounded more like "every ass at our disposal" (referring to fighting the war in Iraq.)

that's quite different than the president confusing Saddam Hussein with Osama bin Laden don't you think?

What about this one:
You know, I think about Missy Johnson. She's a fantastic lady I met in Charlotte, North Carolina. She and her son Bryan, they came to see me. Her husband PJ got killed. He'd been in Afghanistan, went to Iraq.
You know, it's hard work to try to love her as best as I can , knowing full well that the decision I made caused her loved one to be in harm's way.
So its hard for bush to lover her as best he can, eh? What in the hell was he talking about.

Lehrer isnt running for president so all the mistakes he makes dont add up to a hill of beans. As for Kerry's "mistatement", terrorists are weapons of mass destruction. They blow themselves up in crowds of people and are flooding into Iraq everyday.

Kerry didn't. Bush Did. Bush also, accused Kerry of sending MExed MIssages. Talk about a Freudian slip. My favorite moment wasn't a slip. It was when Bush tried to say "Nuclear Proliferation."

Yep. The most disappointing part of the debate for me was when Kerry fucked up and said "Saddam Hussein" instead of "Osama Bin Laden". It was when he called Bush on having a lot more troops in Iraq than in Afganistan.
Of course he corrected himself right away, but yes, Kerry mixed them up as well. The difference is Bush WANTS to mix them up.
