Question about storing shrooms

I haven't had the chance yet to eat fresh shrooms. Whenever I grow shrooms I have to work when they are at their harvest point. Would a foodsaver preserve their freshness until I wanted to consume them? My wife just bought a foodsaver and we are wondering if we were to store them fresh, if and how long would they stay fresh?

Not longer than a few days.

Drying is the way to go.

if you're going for just a few days on storage, nothing works better than keeping them in a paper bag in the fridge!
