are there a lot of amanita's that look like muscaria?
i got the impression they were DISTINCTLY different.
phalloides has the same basic "shape" and features but different colour... what other poisonous amanita's look like musacaria?

Look, my point is - Be careful when you are dealing with mushrooms. I'm no mycologist and I'm not going to pretend like I am. If you wanna pick and eat mushrooms at random (from the wild or off someones desk) go right ahead. I just like to have a little more background about the fungus that I'm eating.

I'm not going to argue about which mushroom looks like this or that mushroom.

Gigantism.
I read about gigantism being one of the effects of the A. muscaria. It causes objects to appear much larger than normal. Though its ironic that when Mario eats the mushrooms he grows larger. It makes you wonder what the game developers were really thinking.

WEll it is funny to call them Mario Brothers shrooms because I played dig dug, actually made it to stage 97.

At the 17th and 37th levels of the game, the center square for the dig-dug bug is an Amanita Mushroom and Dig-Dug was invented before the Mario Brothers Game.

So I am surprised that this kid, and I agree with Holographic Mind on that one (referring to the poster as the kid), that he should have called them Dig-Dug shrooms.

Of course what do I know.

haha mario brothers shrooms. It is quite obvious the kid ate them and died. No he wasn't killed by the mushroom but by the hand of his brother. And no MJ if the aminita appears only twice in dig dug and everywhere in mario brothers then they should be called the mario bro's shroom. ahaha that one made me laugh

YEs they have only 70 so when I create my Amanita pages I will make 71 pictures so then they can be called the Mj shrooms
