hey
i recently was wondering if the cloning process of a mush, for example to agar or a liquid medium, would be possible within a heavily desinfected glovebox aswell?
since multispore is starting to go on my nerves ...

I've done it in my ghetto glovebox several times with no problems. IMHO you will be fine.

Sorry to say you are a fool, a very lucky fool. I can just tell you've done hundreds of successful clones too right? I mean no disrespect but your just silly! hehe! I wish you continued success pizzle3k! BTW a glovebox will work just fine

hey
well all this positive input has made me really optimistic about cloning without a hepa
i guess i will look into the process of making myself a glovebox and work from that, thx for all the info again.

Hey man-
What type of glovebox are you thinking of making? A positive pressure one? solid walls or collapsable plastic? I am about to do the same and I am thinking of a positive pressure with collapsible plastic walls. MycoSupply sells a nice one, but it has no air pump and is like 30 bones- I bet I can make a nice one for around 10-15 bucks.
Anyone know of any good air-pumps for positive pressure boxes? Particularly a smaller one...off to google I go.
Thanks for the motivation. Good luck man.

Hrmm, the only glovebox I could find on MycoSupply was $350. Was that a typo or am I not looking hard enough ? I'm too lazy to build one myself, so $30 for a halfway decent glovebox sounds great.

I've this pic of your box before. Do you not have gloves hooked up to it? If not, do you do anything else to insure a clean enviroment? I'm looking to use a glovebox to do some g2g and was wondering how the best options would be. If you just have two tupperware bowls on the side and then take the lids off to use it, that would be awesome.

I tried pouring hot agar in a glove box and it was real hard due too steam and the constricted enviroment. Then i tried to seal my petri in the glove box and i just couldnt do it.
