Who are you voting for, and why, let us discuss issues
    #3202113 - 09/30/04 11:00 PM (19 years, 5 months ago)

I dunno, i am torn..

Bush has done well, and proven he can do SOMETHING(wheter it be good or bad no one can say)..

Kerry on the other hand seems to have alot of talk, alot of propaganda if you wanna call it that.. I am going to vote for Kerry maybe, but can he REALLY secure the nation? When he pulls the troops out of Iraq, and Iraq can defend itself, will that stop the random terrorist attacks on the US?! I don't think so..

I think we would have seen more terrorist attacks already post 9/11 had it not been for the pressure of the US in Afghanistan/Iraq... But what will happen when we pull the troops out? Can either presedent REALLY secure the entire US? there is so many cracks leaving opening for attack( water supplies, bombs, hell anything really)

So what is the answer? never get the troops out of there??? Bush says " I don't want to put hypothetical deadlines on removal of forces in iraq" .. what does THIS mean!!?!? I mean, there is apparently a huge oil conspiracy, but is not this the intrest of the US and tons of other nations??( people like to point the finger, but don't YOU drive a car?, ya ok then)

I dunno, I think the war is just a partial issue, what other stances do you agree with from either side, and who are you voting for?>

Michael Badnarik, because he's the only candidate that gives a damn about the Constitution.

i am voting kerry because:

he is pro abortion
pro stem-cell research
his family doesnt directly make money from defense contracts
according to www.norml.com he supports medical marijuana
he has stated he will keep religion seperate from state
he is against constitutional amendments restricting gayfags from getting hitched
he doesnt believe jesus wants him to be president
he realizes iraq was a mistake and has some plans to change things and leave
he actually served in a war and knows what goes on first hand, wont be so quick to send kids to die
he is for making healthcare more available
he will put more of a tax burden on the rich, not the middle class
he believes in allowing kids to get college money by community service

im sure i have more reasons, let me think

Kerry:

1.  Supports Stem Cell Research :happyheart:
2.  I trust he'll prove to be better with foreign policy.
3.  Democrat.
4.  I oppose the war in Iraq.
5.  Kerry is not against gay marriage.
6.  Seems like the lesser of two evils.

I'm sure I have other reasons...

thats another good point, i do believe we need to keep changing...bush's people have been in power for a long time with reagan, then bush sr... they got a vacation in the 90s, they are back now...i dont really think kerry is the answer to all of our problems, just a few of em....he is also a step in the right direction
