tomorrow a friend and i were planning on going out into some cow pastures. i live in maryland and i have already gone out and found some mushrooms. i am not sure if they are active but i have there pics in an earlier posts. i was wondering if even though i live in maryland do i have any shot at find some actives. if so what should i be on the look out for. i am not sure if it is too cold here for them it is in the high 70's on a good day right now. fall i guess is kicking in. also i have gone through the website to try and find out if i have any hope but some places it says certian actives grow in maryland and then other places say nothing about maryland when talking about the same mushroom. i have been trying to find a book but i am coming up unlucky with that. i would really like the help i am new to all this. and so far in my past posts all i have gotten is a that link to the rules and regulations so i havent really had any questions anwsered. could use the help thanks a lot.
Did you read the rules? I won't post the link; I'm sure you know where it is by now. There are no actives listed for Maryland in the faq. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't hunt for them. I supose there could be a remote possibility of finding liberty caps in your cow field but probably not. You will probably have better success looking for Gyms in the woods, or Pan subbs on horse dung.
