No pic yet but here's a go.

I admit that I am one of the more very unexperienced hunters. As a matter of fact I wouldn't say I've reached hunting status, more like observing and checking things out.

I currently live in the Westport area of WA. I went out today and found lots and lots of Amanita Muscaria, but left them all alone. I found these ones though:

The caps have a noticeable umb thingy on top, the caps have apparently spread outwards with age, cap is a light almost brownish/whiteish with cinnamon brown gills, and the stalks are a few centimeters thick not too thick like others though, and about an inch or two long "give or take just a little" with a whiteish cinnamony brownish color, yet the stalks on these also have this bluish, ever so slightly purpleish tint to them on certain areas. I know that it's best with pics but thought I'd see if anyone had at least a possible thought on them.

I've already looked through the guides and much information. So this is just one of those things where I'm just not-for-sure.

I swear these not-for-sures are gonna drive me nuts.

and the spores have a brownish tint to them, either I didn't take a good spore print or they are a lighter brownish color.

What if I had happened to have picked a pin of the same species and the little stem on that pin turned and has this very blue color to it?

Does it have a very blue color, or does it turn a very blue color? From my observations, mushrooms usually blue in patches, sometimes extreme, sometimes sutble, but never like *BAM* blue. Your explantion of the stem being cinnamon colored makes me think galerinas (the very deadly look alike of pnw psilocybes), is it a dark color on the bottom, going to a whiteish top near where the stem meets the cap? Psilocybes have a PURE white stem prior picking, and very sturdy, not flimsy, and doesn't break easily. Let a cap sit overnight to get a very thick print, alot of the time a lightish print is hard to
Get a pic. Don't eat.

Ok cool. No I wouldn't ever eat one of these things without a very positive id on them. I'll just have to get a disposable camera for taking pics and then I can make sure to get good pics of shrooms and therefore have a way of showing others exactly what they look like.

I just need more patience.

Thanx.
