cobweb mold or more mycelium?
    #3200375 - 09/30/04 04:39 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

i was wondering if the cakes still grow mycelium outward after theyve been birthed. i have a cake that is four days old, and has been showing knots for two days now, except it seems as though the entire surface of the cake is covered in either new mycelium or cobweb mold. is there a way that one can tell the difference this early on?

if it is over 95% RH there is a high probability it is mycelium

yes... if it's sort of grey and very whispy it's cobweb, sometimes it's hard to tell teh difference though
