the most important thing to induce pinning is increased
oxygen levels.

if you can increase the amount of fresh o2 that your cakes
get while maintaining humidity and to a lesser degree, temp,
then you are as good as gold.

how you go about that depends on your setup...

I haven't seen that show (SBTB) in a long time......sorry to get off topic. Ahem.... *cough* pinning triggers.....blah......light.....fresh air.......keep humidity above 90%......get ready to see some baby boys poppin up........

Make sure you have a pinning strategy. Search the site you'll find tons.

You can cold shock and dunk simultaneously by replacing the cakes in their jars with just enough water to fully submerge them. This is just what I've gathered from reading about the topic.

for(i=1;i<infinity;i++){

}
}

cold shocking is not always effective, dunking is a must.

pins can take 2 days to 3 weeks to appear, especially if
you are constantly looking in on your setup to check.

that usually bleeds temps and humidity.

With cakes, this guy I know has had the best results w/ dunking and cold shocking.

for(i=1;i<infinity;i++){
getBorn(mind,soul);
getEdu(mind,soul);
getJob(mind,soul);

If it makes you feel any better I plan on dunking/cold shocking and then casing and birthing my cakes.  There will be a slight decrease in temperature (+/- 10 degrees F) and the humidity will be around 90%.  Light will be introduced for 10 hours a day through a flourescent bulb that will shine through the plexi-glass window that has been fit to the lid of my tupperware tub.

That's my pinning strategy.  I believe that's what people are telling you that you need to formulate.  A plan of attack so to speak.

Good luck with your grow!

Good plan...but there's no need to shock cakes before casing :wink:.

First tip is after you have a tek to follow I always wrap my bags in a towel when PCing to keep the bags from touching any metal. I also don't buy expensive filter patch bags, I buy regular autoclavable bags use a paperpunch and cover these with micropore tape instead (this trick I learned from 6T (Mycota) Just keep an eye on the tape is all. Bags are the greatest for producing spawn and an impulse sealer makes thing very handy. Heres a link to a an experienced growers excellent pictorial! MycoBag Step By Step Thank you Doc007
