Have any of you ever gone on a business trip before. I have this two day class to go to. My job is paying me to take this test and it's a little ways away so they are paying for gas, room and food. I've never left town for work so I'm a little excited about it. :laugh:  Others are going as well. I'm wondering...is it a good idea to go out for a few drink while on this mini-trip, or should I stay sober.  :tongue: I don't want to screw anything up, but I'm very confident about this test. I know what I'm doing, I just have to prove it to them. I want to take advantage a little and have some fun...Let's see, there will be 2 men, and 3 woman, including me! So...lots and lots of studying or....massive orgy! :evil:

I wouldn't get smashed around fellow employees unless I know them well, but a drink or two after business hours is fine. I always make a point of trying to work some fun into business trips. It is actually a pretty good way of bonding with your fellow workers.

Thanks, though it wasn't really a question. I guess I just wanted to see what others would do. I def. want to have a couple of drinks. I'm not a real big drinker...I rarely drink. I think I just want to relax and have some fun without having too much fun.

KidShelleen, I agree...I think it's a great way of bonding with co-workers as long as I'm not getting tore up!

I agree, if you know your coworkers well, having a drink after work hours would be fine. Don't think I'd get smashed until AFTER you take the test though, and only if you are comfortable with them doing it.

Road trips are fun when the company pays for it :smile: I've been on a few, and it's always totally acceptable to have fun after business hours, just remember that you're representing your company 24-7.
