WTF my freind at work is reading the english translation of this religious book at work and i took a look at a few select sections. this book is friggin evil, i know muslims are being persecuted across the world and i dont support that at all. but i also dont support the BS in this book. all the book talks about is who to hate and how god like to see shit like people being over taxed and having their hands cut off if they break a law or beleive something that the islamic nation dosent. i know all these republicans talk shit about muslims being evil terrorists, and thats not what im saying. im just saying this book is BS evil mean shit and a total mis representation of any god i know. if i thought god was as evil as this book says he is id kick his ass. this book just sets the world up for a jihad. why cant their god just love everyone like my god

No, muslims give muslims a bad name when they kill innocent people and rejoice in it (see: 9/11)

You should try the bible, that book is pretty crazy too.

ive read the whole bible and parts of the karon the bible i think comes from a totally diffrent prespective. while i dont totally agree with most of it, i dont think it in any way makes god look so evil as the karon dose. i think the main problem with christianity is the people who preach it and use it give it a bad name. but im into budism mostly ive just started reading the book of the dead.

Read leviticus and other old testament books. Get back to us. If you still think it's just the Koran that's fucked up, I'll be surprised.

A discussion on the "evilness" of a religious book is probably better off being conducted in the Spirtuality and Philosophy forum.
Off it goes.

The Koran is the end result of a life time of seizures of the heathen Mohammed.
Moslems worship a moon god, they do not worship the GOD of CHRIST.

Perhaps you should read the Bible, you'll be just as offended.

The Koran is not Evil. Nor is the Bible. They are both holybooks who at the time of the writing were great idealistic improvements on the status quo.
But in my view the problem is that this PROGRESSIVE gospel became upheld by CONSERVATIVES and it is conservatives that have prevented any & all new light being cast on the revelations other then theirs. Think about it: Almost all Christian political parties are highly right-wing while Jesus whipped the powers that be with his dangerous new ideas of a higher force then Rome and more justice for all.
Leviticus is a good example of how conservatism mauled Christianity. Leviticus says so-and-so should be brought to death by street justice, that the handicapped, deformed and ugly people of the world are an insult in the eye of God and so on. And yet Leviticus is quoted and upheld like theres no tomorrow. Much content of the Bible is not applicable to our present times anymore. The bible says: MAKE PROGRESS! but the churches have stunted that progress with all their power, burning scientists at the stake in medievel times and denying Evolution Theory in the present time. I think Jesus cries at bible-thumping as it is done today. "because the book sez so" is the opposite of Growth.
Same with the Koran. The Koran holds great wealth but it is perverted by the Conservative Fundamentalists who with their screaming silence the pragmatic majority.
Try to be a Christian/Islamic prophet nowadays: I really think dozens of "second comings" have been burnt at the stake and shot in the head. Because the Religions Of Change are being led by the Institute of More Of Same.
If you want to be a Christian or a Muslim my advice is to take your holybook into Nature and let it be just You and the Divine Force, with the book to guide you if you are unsure. Do not let an earthly instiution come between you and your Deity and remember your book has been corrupted by the religious authorities.
