was up in bellingham today with @cro visiting some relatives and figured with all the posts about northern washington cyans we'd stop by a few places...
lookie what we found! our first cyans of the year!!!!
those were the biggest we found, the rest were just pins, but man we're excited!!
on our way up we also found this HUGE Agaricus augustus growing out of a crack of concrete... it always amazes me how hardy fungi can be!
what a way to usher in the season... finds in September, and even before school starts!! this season is gonna rawk!!!

They look identical to one varity of Psilocybe subaeruginosa in pick in Auckland, I may have hundreds of dry grams of them but I still miss finding them . Oh well only another 6 months until next season.
Good find by the way, don't they look so beautiful!
P.S, Thanks for the wallpaper PsilyGirl, looks great.

Very nice Psillygirl. I too found some blue ringers yesterday. Will post in a few minutes. have a shroomy day.
All of my spots are not even showing very much myceliua. IT is still too warm here in Seattle, although I am sure a few may be up somewhere in a yard with sprinkler systems.

Nope, we've never hunted in Bham before. We just had a couple of mins to kill, so I thought we'd take a tour of a local park with some nice views and there they were, brand new, never found before. Just got lucky I guess.
Peace

People have posted pics from both Bham and Edmonds. You are right in the middle there. I would guess you don't need to drive anywhere to find them. But it still is very early in the season and they will be few and far between, once the season truly starts you'll have a much better chance, so no need to be dissappointed.
Peace

if you can find woodchips then you've found a good place.
and again, dont get discouraged yet, its still early in the season!
