Storing dried shrooms

I am hanging on to some mushrooms. They are 100% dry and I have them in an air-tight tupperware container. I've been told to put a pouch of dessicant in with them to absorb any moisture, but where can I get ahold of some dessicant? It's not something I have just laying around. Any ideas?

There have been a number of threads on storing dried shrooms. (a few of which were in the past few days I think).

You should be able to get some DampRid at your local walmart or wherever. I'd put them in a bag, and put the bag in the jar/tupperware. And throw some damprid in there. Or better yet, coffee grind, capsule, bag, jar.

go to walmart, or anywhere they sell shoes. Just take the "packets" from inside the shoe boxes.

I thought in a recent thread it was said that those packets are not the correct thing.

You dont need anything for dried shrooms, just put them in a ziplock bag and store them in the freezer, thats all there is to it, you dont need any packets, dont listen to that guy who said you do he doesnt know what hes talking about.

airtight container with some dessicant is a good idea. just make sure the shrooms don't touch the dessicant

he said they are 100% dry, so what is the point of dessicant ?? all he needs is to place the dried shrooms in a tight air ziplock bag and toss them in a freezer, atleast thats how I do it and my shrooms are kick ass, no loss of potency or nothing.
