On the Daily Show Tonight: DEA "Celebrates" War On Drugs
    #3192767 - 09/28/04 08:29 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

This looks like it could be very interesting. Apparently there's a musem or something along those lines. I wonder how you celebrate bloating the criminal justice system with people who don't belong in prision.

The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

The government can manage to find a way to put a "positive" spin on anything. I'll definitely check it out though, thanks for the heads up.

i think the war on drugs is a mix of good and bad. just my opinion, but someone who's moving half a ton of heroin into the country and spending 20 years in jail deserves it. i'd celebrate that. though, i don't think a dude with a couple plants or some shrooms should spend a minute in jail.

this is the world we live in. sadly, many aspects of it are fucked up.

If heroin was legal we wouldn't need someone smuggling in a half a ton of heroin. Anyways, what time is it on?

Neither you nor the government nor anyone else has the right to dictate to anyone what they can or can't put in their body, whether it be weed, shrooms, coke, ecstacy, or heroin.

Actually, if you read the post I replied to, you'll see I was preaching to someone who apparently is ok with prohibition of drugs he doesn't do, and only wants the drugs he does do to be legal.

I wonder if the DEA has any knowledge of how much coke and heroin has been and probably continues to be shipped in by the CIA?

to be perfectly i think certain drugs do need to be controoled. i personally dont have a problem with people doing them, i have a big problem with misrepresentaion ie selling the wrong stuff. if it were me it would be all drugs in their raw from (ie plants, animals). even extractions. its the realyl nasty chemicals that do cause problems i think should be controlled. but as long as tehy put chlorine in our water, monoxide in our air why bother? there is a lot more harsher legal chems then illegal ones.

i also think it should jsut be the sale of such things. if someone wants to potentially kill themself by putting wahtever in them, go for it. one less.
