Aluminum foil , and do not forget to make a large foil cap for your head too , that way "THEY" will not know what you are up to

so i can use the foil in the birdseed and the popcorn tek? the only reason i asked is because the teks calls for poly and tyv wich i have none of

Filters are not 100% necisary .
Foil over the tops of jars will just prevent water from leaking into jars in pc , and help keep dust particles and some nasties from "easily" getting into jars during germination\incubation process .
Contam barriers are also done with verm , but is not a requirement for success .
Basically ... "do whay you gotta do , with what you have got to do it !"

And polyfil is dirt cheap they use it to stuff pillows. Better yet you probably got a poly stuffed pillow in your house or animal break it open and use that.

my last batch of jars i just used the tinfoil lid tek and had no contams. no lids, no filters, just tinfoil. crazy stuff.

 for foil. Thats all I have used, I use a tub-in-tub and don't have any contam problems. I do clean the tub out with iso. alc. between batches.

wtf is tyvek anyway, does it have another name in the UK?

Get some polyfill... you can buy it at walmart for 2.99 and you'll get a bag that's big enough to make a thousand jars or so.
If anyone asks, you're building boxes for your new subs for your car and you use it to tune the frequency of the speaker box.
