Last wed. or thu. i sterilized a syringe by drawing up rubbin alcohol, let it sit for a couple of min.s then shot it out and drew up some h202 and shot it out. I then used some karo liquid that had been in the fridge for a few months actually several months. Anyway today, monday, i'm still yet to see ANY growth, mycelia or mold. I don't know what happend. I used some of this karo a few weeks ago and it worked fine. Now its nothing. If I was to have not sufficiently got out all the alcohol would it have killed my karo mycelia? I'm stumped. Any help would be great.

for future reference, you can wrap your syringes in foil and pc for 20 min and 15psi for foolproof sterilization.... If you didn't rinse the h202/alcohol out of the syringe very well you may have killed anything you put in that syringe

I was just in a hurry, you'd think i'd know by now that in this game getting in a hurry is bad move most of the time. I swore i thought i got all of that shit out of there though.

I sterilized my needles by just sucking in boiling water then spraying it out a couple of times. It works fine and its quicker and easier then pc'ing them. But different strokes for different fokes.

I use, then throw out. But that's just me, I have lots of syringes.

I can manage sterilizing my syringes, i'll just not get in such a hurry next time. I was basically asking if the alcohol would've killed my mycelia.

spores don't handle alcohol well. mycelium and mushroom tissue can take it, but not spores.

I was using liquid mycelium and i have no growth after about 5 days. I know h202 will kill spores but not mycelia. Alcohol seems a little more potent though.
