I was planning to get in to mushroom hunting (I mean with like actual research and not killing myself on the first outing), but I saw a list of where magic mushrooms could be found and Alberta wasn't even in the list. Then I looked at the one that this site linked to and it showed these ones for Alberta:
So as a complete noob I just had a few questions..
Is there anyone out there that has had any luck finding decent magic mushrooms in Alberta?
And are any of these that were on the list even worth looking for?
Are there any other kinds that have been known to appear in Alberta from time to time and for whatever reason maybe aren't in the list?
Umm any help would be good because if theres no hope whatsoever of eventual success then I don't really see the point of getting started.
Use the search tool at the bottom of the forum page, and type in Gymnopilus, as I see this as your best bet. There is quite a bit of info on them throughout the posts and you would probably enjoy hunting them.
Find what species you should look for, research them, live them, and maybe find some.
