Picking conditions?

I am wondering, in the state of Hawaii what would be the best time of day to go mushroom hunting in a cow field? I have been a few times with varying success each time so I'm not sure when would be the best hour of the day to pick. I'm guessing very early morning before the sun comes up totally, but hinestly I don't know. Also, can some give me a recomendation of a good shroom hunting book that is more geared toward picking in Hawaii, or maybe Ohio?

Time of day doesn't matter really. Morning would be prime because the mushrooms should be in their best condition(not dried or bleached by the sun).

Thanks man that's what I thought. I figured the sun would probobly dry them out after a while. Is it better to go soon after a rain while it's still wet out, or when it's dry?

I have some friends that were in the army
stationed on OAHU, that had some good times
thanks to the Local cattle population on the North Shore..
and near Kaneohi Bay area...
