Anyone use this? Already sterile? Can get it for pretty cheap with a regulator. I was just curious.

Frothy, goblin from my ass, pure oxygen is dangerous to use! It is an explosion hazard. In additon, injecting pure oxygen into your grow space is not likely to be as effective as you might think. Oxygen will rise FAST in plain air. You would require airtight seals on your terrarium. The Oxygen would be injected into the top and there would need to be a drain in the bottom of your tank to allow the heavier gasses to be displaced. Just injecting a little at a time would not be as effective as fanning because the pure oxygen will still want to rise above the CO2 in there. It is a suitable idea, one I have also considered in theroy. The practical application of this would likely be more trouble than it is worth. The injection of just plain air would be as suitable AND you will have a more homogenous gas that will resist separation better than single gas injection. At the point of saturation (required for a displacement situation) you will likey see diminishing returns for your trouble. For Example, a human cannot breathe pure oxygen. It causes very detrimental effects upon the pulmonary and nervous systems. Plants cannot use pure CO2, as they need O2 for root development and Nitrogen they pull from the air to aid in photosynthesis. God new what he was doing when he blended AIR yep just plain 'ol AIR. It is a suitable blend for all living things on this Earth. Perhaps an exhaust fan on a timer (available at radio shack) OR with an airtight lid and a drain at the bottom, you can buy a air pump for an aquarium and inject the plain air into the top of the tank and let the CO2 drain out the bottom. Run the discharge from the air pump through a jar containing a bubbler stone and peroxide/water for humidity before injection into the tank. PM me if you need instructions on making this item. IT IS GOOD TO SEE SOMEONE THINKING!! The downsides to pure oxygen are many. Your safety being the most important! Look into an automated process for providing AIR exchange... GOOD LUCK!
