A few questions about VT..
    #3185023 - 09/27/04 03:56 AM (12 years, 7 months ago)

After reading posts about the actual locations of active shrooms, I have found other sources saying there are Psilocybe azurescens in Vermont. Is this true?

If so, I have many opportunities to hunt, I just want to know where to start. Should I go in the mountains? Stay near residential? The hints given on these sites are excellent, but being a newbie to the shroom hunt, I am interested in your expertise.

From the information gathered, this must be the proper time to hunt this shroom, and I am working in vermont for the next few weeks, hoping to see some with your help!

Also, is it illegal to mail these home? (I know, dumb question, but its not illegal unless consumed right?) If its not, how should I package them?

Thanks folks, your posts are very informational!

Well, I can't answer your main question, but regarding sending yourself mushrooms - It is illegal to have any mushrooms containing psilocybin in your posession. If you were to get caught sending them via mail, i'm fairly sure it's a federal offense.

Happy hunting

Ps. azurescens does not grow naturally in VT, any reports of it doing so are based on prepared patches and not natural fruitings.
