Well, the way I see it, life is supposed to be like that, and it's a challenge. Everyone's challenges are different. I like work, I liked school when I attended. I've been through a lot of shit in the meantime, but in all, it's been fun. I've overcome a lot.

I think it's a matter of perspective, like looking at the glass "half full" v. "half empty".

Some people see life as a challenge, no matter what they go through. Others see life as a burden. I wonder why?

Freedom to say who gives a fuck and just wander the globe soaking up mass culture of world wide systems and cultures , freedom to walk down a road, blocking traffic to protest gasoline prices and pollution issues, and not getting arrested for it... freedom to smoke a joint in public.... freedom to walk into any scenario and despite whatever odds I am faced with to overcome them without incident

It seems you have put yourself above everyone else, perhaps that is the real roadblock.

hardly... maybe I got a little out of hand. I don't daily long for those freedoms, and it does not show in my personality that I am ' above everyone else' , so I do not know what you mean... More like the freedom to never be effected by negativeness, or at least being able to control it, I would hope this would be a life road, to find the way to overcome every mental block

You can do that. And I am free to drive my Cadillac Escalade over your scrawny body then.  :smirk:

maybe because life IS a burden? oh well, a posative mental state can only bring about so much change, how can one overcome the pysical state, the victims of circumstance, what really is negative and should I even try to improve? I can't see why sometimes, the glass is filled with water vapor, neither full or empty

Twenty years ago or so, I would have agreed with you that life is a burden. I don't see it that way any more.

You mentioned how one can overcome the physical state, the victims of circumstance.

We're not victims. As long as we see ourselves as victims, life might seem like a burden. When we no longer see ourselves as victims, when we see ourselves in control, and take charge of our lives, then life isn't such a burden. There's a trick to it, but it would take to long to explain it.

I understand, each person must forge their own sword to fight the battle of mind... only *I* can fix this reality I call distorted.. I know i know..

It is just if I take the stance of ignoring issues and feeling happy about life, I feel I am cheating myself, I feel I must look at the world and see the wrong doings and feel bad about it until I do something to change it, I feel I should somehow be nice, so others will catch on and pass it on in the great web of life....

yet I get negative as well and I see how even a life of 'harmony' is filled with sorrow and I wonder if this whole 'karma' thing is bogus, and that there is no charge your soul takes to to the realm of after death, whatever this density vibration holds, I can feel it for sure, but could it be an illusion

An Al Queda hostage is NOT a victim? They just need to enjoy the taste of the blade...

Well, yes, Swami. You can be sitting at the aim of a blade, and still not be a victim.

If I was sitting on the ground, with my eyes blind-folded, and an Al Queda member had a sword at my throat, I would take my mind else where. He may have my body as hostage, but he would never have my mind!

No victim here, you see.

that is a good point frog, I am begining to see what you are saying, I just don;t know how a sacrifice of your life could not be considered a victim.. I guess if it happens it is supposed to, even if it means you never will be conscious in this same body again, possibly loosing all touch with your past lives? but does your soul exist and becomepart of the whole again? is there a whole... your stance would RELY on this
