Ive read a few teks on this, some stating that after doing a dmt extraction from certin plants, once in the crystalized form to add a little alcohol to disolve it back down to a liquid and soaking the vermiculite in it, and then letting that dry. slight baking to ensure alcohol is completly evaporated. Using this vermiculite is claimed to greatly incress psilicin content & production.. My question is, insted of extracting and preping the vermiculite this way, what if you were to case with any one of the following grass's that contain dmt?
Acacia maidenii
Phalaris aquatica
Phalaris arundinacea
Phalaris brachystachys
Phalaris bulbosa (a.k.a. Phalaris aquatica)
Phalaris caesia
Phalaris californica
Phalaris canariensis
Phalaris coerulescens
Phalaris commutata (a.k.a. Phalaris aquatica)
Phalaris hirtiglumis
Phalaris maderensis
Phalaris minor
Phalaris nodosa (a.k.a. Phalaris aquatica)
Phalaris paradoxa
Phalaris rotgesii
Phalaris stenoptera
Phalaris truncata
Phalaris tuberosa
Do you think it might be able to do a little natural extraction of its own?
Hey just a thought..

1. go look at that discussion.
2. some opinions on your question: just by using the grass/bark etc... alone as the substrate doesn't make the dmt bioavailable to the mycelium. in order to be incorporated into metabolic processes, the fungus would have to have some means to get at the dmt by breaking down the organic tissue that contains it. even while some fungi have the ability to do this well (think about fungi on rotting logs...), the amount of dmt available would be significantly reduced due to physical spacial properties: you would have to use at least as much organic matter to case/substrate with (in addition to the normal casing/substrate material) as you would to extract DMT from, however, once the dmt is extracted you have no physical constraints, just distribute evenly among your casing/substrate medium.
i think for the sake of the experiment, which is contraversial already, it is best to supply dmt in a controlled and concentrated amount.
