Bootleg Drip Prevention
    #3184204 - 09/26/04 11:57 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

So the Dude was having problems with drips. He has an opaque PMP with a big hole cut in the top and saran wrap duct taped tightly over that to allow light to get in.

He heard vaseline causes aborts. He didn't want to make a drip sheild.

So he put a test peice of wax paper in the PMP to see how well it repels water. Accidentally, the wax paper touched some of the saran wrap.

When he went to check the wax paper, he noticed the spot of saran that made contact with the wax paper didn't have any droplets forming. So he tried something.

He turned the lid upside down and laid a peice of wax paper over the saran wrap (on the inside) then pressed it down well. He let it sit for some time.

When he took the wax paper off and put the lid back in place, he was pleasantly suprised that it no longer allowed any droplets to form and fall straight down. The wax paper residue or whatever stuck to the saran wrap completely repels any considerable moisture from gathering.

Yippee!!!!!!

Hope this helps some one else using wax paper.

Just wanted to show you all. Sorry the pics the are so dark... the dude sucks.

But you can see how the saran wrap just gets foggy now instead.

Perlite is going in soon.
