Weird e-mail

So I got this email from some guy I dont know. Before I even started to read it I was thinking it was some kind of scam or something. After reading it though I cant really figure it out. I thought this guy was about to ask me for money but he actually wants to donate all his money. Doesnt make sense as to why he would randomly email me. I mean it basically says "I cant trust my family, but I can trust you." Anyways, here it is:
This letter may come to you as a surprise due to the fact that we have not yet met. I have to say that I have no intentions of causing you any pains so i decided to contact you through this medium . As you read this, I don't want you to feel sorry for me, because, I believe everyone will die someday. My name is (edited), a merchant in Dubai, in the U.A.E. I have been diagnosed with prostate and esophageal Cancer that was discovered very late due to my laxity in caring for my health. It has defiled all form of medicine and right now, I have only about a few months to live according to medical experts. I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never really cared for anyone not even myself but my business. Though I am very rich, I was never generous, I was always hostile to people and only focus on my business as that was the only thing I cared for. But now I regret all this as I now know that there is more to life than just wanting to have or make all the money in the world. I believe when God gives me a second chance to come to this world I would live my life a different way from how I have lived it. Now that I know my time is near, I have willed and given most of my properties and assets to my immediate and extended family members and as well as a few close friends and Schools in the UAE. I have decided to give alms to charity organizations, as I want this to be one of the last good deeds I do on earth. So far, I have distributed money to some charity organizations in the U.A.E, London and Ireland. Now that my health has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this my self any more. I once asked members of my family to close one of my accounts and donate the money, which I have there to charity organization in Bulgaria, they refused and kept the money to themselves. Hence, I do not trust them anymore, as they seem not to be contended with what I have left for them. The last of my money which is the huge cash deposit that I have with Financial Firm Abroad .I will want you to help me collect this deposit and dispatched it to charity organizations and let them know that it is I (edited) that is making this generous donation. I am writing this from my laptop computer in my hospital bed where I wait for my time to come. I pray that God uses you to support and assist me with good heart God be with you. (edited) NB: I will appreciate your utmost confidentiality in this matter until the task is accomplished as I dont want anything that will Jeopadize my last wish. and Also I will be contacting with you by email as I dont want anybody to know cos they are always around me. Do endavour to send your phone as well as your fax for easy communication
Has anyone ever gotten an email like this or heard of something like this. I think its really weird. I know theres something wrong with this, I just dont know what.

That's pretty much the famous scam right there. With me, I had dead, rich relatives I knew nothing about all over the place. But it's nothing a good spam filter can't handle...

"This letter may come to you as a surprise due to the fact that we have not yet met. I have to say that I have no intentions of causing you any pains so i decided to contact you through this medium ."
First sentence states he don't know you, and implies that you will.... Then the second sentence implies that he magically decided to contact just you personally...!
If he was rich, he would have a lawyer to take care of any/everything.... Seems like a wierd way to get a stranger's fax & telephone number....?
Can't be good....

Quote:
From:MRS MARIAM ADAMA
Tunis,Tunisia
SIR/MADAM,
I am the above named person from Tunisia but now undergoing medical treatment.
I am married to Dr.Abdulmalik ADAMA who worked with Saudi Arabia embassy in Congo for nine years, before he died in the year 2000. We were both married for eleven years without a child.
He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Before his death we were both christians and since his death I decided not to re-marry outside my matrimonial home . When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of $27 Million (Twenty-seven Million U.S. Dollars) with a bank in lome-TOGO. Presently, this money is still with the bank in TOGO.
Recently, my Doctor told me that I would not last for the next Six months due to my cancer illness. Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to church, Less privilege, or better still a christian individual that will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct here in. I want interested christian or individual that will use this fund to help churches, orphanages, widows and propagating the Gospel and to ensure that the house of God is maintained. The Bible made us to understand that it is more Blessed to give than to receive ,I took this decision because I don't have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are fighting over the properties and I don't want my husband's hard earned money to be misused by their greedy attitude. I don't want a situation where this money will be used in an ungodly manner, hence the reason for taking this bold decision.
I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going. I know that I am going to be in the bosom of the Lord. Exodus 14 VS 14 says that the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace. I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health, and because of the presence of my husband's relatives around me always. I don't want them to know about this development. know With God all things are possible.
As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the bank in TOGO and other relative information that will enable the bank to transfer money to you from TOGO to your account overseas.
I will also issue you a letter of authority that will empower you as the original- beneficiary of this fund. I want you to always pray for me because the lord is my shepherd. My happiness is that I lived a life of a worthy christian.
Whoever that wants to serve God must serve him in spirit and truth. Please always be prayerful all through your life.
Any delay in your reply will give me room in sourcing for a christian individual for this same purpose. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated herein. Hoping to hear from you. You contact me via my email address above.Your embassy gave me your contact.
Remain blessed in the name of God.
Yours Sister, Mrs.MARIAM ADAMA

I got something like that once.. infact I think I posed it. But the dood was talking about time travel and needing to get parts from this certain type of watch because his time machine stoped working and he was stuck here and that he needed a third party to get the watch blaa blaa. I was nuts... I guess some people just get their kicks like that.
