i put my cakes in like 3 weeks ago upside down im figuring( verm. down) by mistake. i kept the humididty constant at 92-93 with temp of 78. light about 12 hrs a day. fanned like 3 times a day. no pins!!!ok so i picked up one of my cakes and noticed a few pins on the other side. i was like oh shit , i fucked up and flipped that and a few others over just incase i wasnt supposed to, i left most of them. now i got the same number of pins on that one cake, none on th eothers i flipped, and still none on the ones i flipped. oh man whats my deal???? im hope theyre not all shot. can they grow upside down??? please help!! thnx

I agree I preffer to crumble my cake so I get more mushies but if you case them you should do O.K.

will it still pin and work if i dont casem?? its takin quite a while to pin. if i do case will it work with the terrarium i already built and the ultra sonic humidfier setup? thnx

i just recently tried cold shocken them but still nuthin man im gettin worried. i didnt wanna have to case for my first time but it looks lik ei might have to how do i start this off??? any more ideas on how i can leave it as cakes and still savor a few mushies? please help

ok ok !!!! uve conviced me, hehe just not sure how to, and do i still utilize my terrarium and all ,crumble? i dunno much about casing so i have to do some more research.but any good tips or ideas help .. thanks again

i was suggested to use the "casing for dummies" tek, i cased about a week and a half ago and it's pinning. the address is www.dreamwater.org/how2case/

i cased and now i got greenish blue , looks like bruising, in the casing verm layer. is thi sok what should i do???

Don't case 'em all. Those slow-pinning cakes are not lost. You might try lightly misting the verm layer on top of your flipped cakes once a day until you see pins. Placing the cakes verm-side down directly on the perlite for a few days and then flipping them can actually be an effective way to rehydrate dry cakes. Like you said, you noticed pins on that side to begin with.
Case a few of them if you want to try it, but don't case them all. If it's your first time you might end up losing out and being very sad.
