humidity and wetness
    #3182452 - 09/26/04 02:39 PM (12 years, 4 months ago)

I have an ultrasonic humidifier attached to my growchamber and the pf cakes seem to be loving it. But there was an incident of green mold, and the shrooms are getting wet and heavy and I have the diagonal drip shield et al but everything is still having water condense on it. Any ideas as to how I can keep mold and shit from growing on my cakes and also how I can keep them from getting so wet? This is on the lowest setting for the humidifier too...

Put your ultrasonic on a timer Bro. One of the main reasons for high contam rates is too high a RH, h2o2 may help the symptom but it won't help the source. GL And remember shrooms love transpiration just as much as RH!

h202 is good to add. A timer is needed with ultrasonic too! I got 2 for 8 bucks at home depot..30 minute interval one. My ultrasonic is on every 30 minutes for 30 minutes then off for the same. You might want on for 30 minutes then off for an hour though with a smaller chamber.

Anyone looking to start bulk tubs/mono tubs/shotgun hybrids? Good tubs to use..
