The Univeral Truth Thread
    #3179257 - 09/25/04 03:03 PM (19 years, 6 months ago)

Obviosly everyone comes here to discover something new, to heal themselves, or to find themselves.

What I was thinking, lets write the Universal truth in this forum that would relate to EVERYONE, obviously your thinking thats impossible, but what Im saying is, what if we put it in a way so basic, that everyone would understand it.

We all know that truth cannot be said, its something a person has to feel for themselves to REALLY understand.

Some of you know that im not originaly from the United States, so I cannot explain it in a way that everyone would understand (like playing telephone...going from truth to Russian to English, the idea is already fucked up) What Im saying is that people who know english grammer well should put it in the most basic way possible.

If we put all of our ideas together to express it in a universal way, maybe we all could get something out of it.

anyone interested?

There are no universal truths.Any one thing is not the same for everyone nor can it said to always apply forever.

There are no universal truths.Any one thing is not the same everyone nor can it said to always apply forever.

That in itself, IS a Universal Truth. However, lets not take White Russian's notion too literally. There is no absolute, and everything is relative.. so we must judge according to the circumstances.
That, is also a Universal Truth. The point is, we can come to a general Universal Truth, in the absence of feeling the need to split hairs. For instance, take the "Stillness Speaks" thread. The philosophy that lies therein is simple yet profound with the timeless and uncomplicated clarity of the ancient spiritual masters, hence it is a generally universal spiritual truth. In almost unjustified fear from pessimistic nitpickers, I would feel compelled to guard the sentence with 'generally' to obviate the hair-splitting rebuttals devoid of intuitive common-sense such as "well what about such individuals who are fully psychotic or deranged or this or that, etc." But let's spare any such silly folly and see beyond the mere words, sentences, and such which are all merely signposts which point to That of Enlightened reality.

As far as the Universalizing of the philosophy which I follow, it can be summed up in two words: No-mind.
Rising above the mind, yet into the inner-body, into the serene stillness of Being, the One-life within and beyond all life forms subject to birth and death, that can only be felt, not encapsulated by the mind. Realization of One-ness with all that is. Acceptance of what is, living in the eternal and timeless Now -- Which is all there truly is.

Universal truths, eh? I figure they'd have to be vague and obvious such as "humans seek that which they think brings happiness." Or "nothing is permanent, nothing lasts forever."
