TUB IN TUB WATER ???

Had my tub in tub for 8 months now,it also has an air supply so it want have hot spots.I put a cap full of bleach in it every 4 months. Well I had to move it out of the room I had it in so I decided to change the water.I had at least 2 kinds of contam's growing in there.
My Question.
How often should I add a cap full of bleach to the water(about 3 gal) without hurting my heating element or its wiring???
Thanks

I found a product call "Bowl Freash" for tolets. It contains paradchlorobenzene. So it cost $0.60 at walmart of course.Been getting a lot of contam's during colenization.Hope this cures the problem. Still would like to hear what other people do for this. Thanks for the input.

Its a pain with big tubs to do it every time though..I'd spend a couple hours a week just doing that...I'd rather spend time harvesting...every few months is fine IMO. All that ziptie holding it in the water hoopla then rinsing it out and refilling it and reziptieing and getting them back on their shelves in the closet..blah.

I've never used the zipties as they are not really necessary as I have the top tub just hitting the water and the heat is so uniform I see no need to make it any more complicated than it has to be I've used a TnT for years now and would use it again if my commercial one is ever at full capacity. I also changed water every 2mos. or so, no biggie

If I dont ziptie it down though the top tub floats all around and shakes and stuff which annoys me. Does it work as well if you stack jars too? I stack sometimes up to 3 layers of jars (top layer on its side). I've noticed when the water level drops down the side the temp drops from about 83 down to about 78-80 when it evaporates all the way down. I mean I suppose if I turned up my heater it could work but for them top jars too?

I wouldnt like not using zip ties either, unless you just put enough water to fill the gap and not lift the tub up much. ALso cant your spacer cups fall over when the tub is empty and shaking aorund?
I have a comp fan in my incubator resting on the rack blowing down and the jars/bags are on a raised rack. This keeps the top jars just as warm as the bottom ones.

I put just enough water in mine so that it contact the bottom of the top tub no more it works fine you dont need any water up the sides as the warm water evenly heats everything perfectly, KISS
