Deaths-Leading Causes (US statistics 2001)
    #3178595 - 09/25/04 12:35 PM (13 years, 3 months ago)

Notice that annual US deaths from war at present are far below the top ten causes, yet some people bitch about the death of 1000 soldiers in Iraq. Something that's also strange is that a lot of drug users also emphasize this even if taking drugs risks your life and increases your risk of cardiovascular disease (heart and stroke risk) and cancer.

I'm sure what point your trying to make with this...But if your trying to down play the importance of our troops sacrifices then screw you. Maybe you should find some leading cause of death stats that don't include every senior citizen in america. instead look more something pertaining to people under twenty-five. or better yet, look at some stats of deaths in the military before and after the war. and don't forget to take into consideration the thousands of maimed and crippled soldiers from the US who are missing legs, arms, lower body movement etc etc.

Religion is for people who are afraid of going to Hell; spirituality is for those who have been there.

Surely you're not implying that Iraq war casualties have to make the top ten before it's a problem!

Jeffery Dahmer was even less of a problem than the Iraq war, then, right? I mean he only killed 20 or so people. All those cops and judges were wasting they're time on him! They should of been fighting heart diesease!

And what else? It's strange that drug users emphasize the deaths caused by George's oil war and not the deaths from cardiovascular disease etc. caused by, say, smoking pot?

I'd rather die from indulgence than die for Halliburtin.
Call me strange, if you will.
