How many mushrooms will normally produce one PF cake?

I've had cakes that only put out like 2 mushies and some aborts ( 1st flush). I've also had cakes put out like 6 on the first flush. When I try to get them to flush again a cake usually puts out like one more good size shroom and some aborts. Not very good results I know but I'm still learning. Casings have helped me get more.

Here is a pic of a third flush of equadors. Dunk them in water for 24 hours after each flush. The first flush was not bad, the second huge and slowly diminished after that.

i had 4 cakes one time. all four gave one flush. one got contaminated and the three gave 3 more flushes. the 1 and 4 flush sucked but the 2 and 3 were huge. me and one friend pitched in to buy the stuff and we each got like 4 eights and like another quarter each. we ate the eights and the qaurter every weekend but we didnt wiegh them all together. they were also B+.

snake--with those sorts of results from cakes, you should really try a simple casing. you'd be pleased with the results i think. if you are worried about making the leap, try making "mini" casings in plastic cups. that way you don't have to put all your eggs in one basket.

My first cake produced 31pins already and they're not finished yet, I guess.
