WEll we found these yellowish amanita mushrooms. What do you think of them. There were about a dozen or so t of them here in the city
And "My Three Sons."
And Now the Royal Family of Stuntzii and their Concubine: Presnting the Family as I saw them from above:
They were very fascinating in their posture to me.

Nice stuff. And (of course!) great photos.
The Amanitas suggest Amanita gemmata to me. That implies that they would have the same toxins as Amanita muscaria and Amanita pantherina.
Happy mushrooming!

I found a load of them today and decided not to take nay pics of them.
Are they 'special' ones?
Kinda creamy yellow. Little veil remnants on their caps.

*sigh* i don't think anyone can id by that description. you'd need pics and a description as outlined in the forum rules. go for the ID though, take some pictures and start a new post. EDIT: oh, and as for them being "special," well, they're amanitas. they contain toxins which will kill you. there are ways to prepare certain amanitas for injestion... it's not a psilocybe, but you'd be getting muscarol (spelling?). go look around www.erowid.com for amanitas.

Those are the amanitas that I mentioned finding in a previous post. They were growing under pine trees. They love the pine needles.
We almost passed right by that cluster of Stuntzii. There were lots of pinners around the clump, so it seems like they should be fruiting for quite awhile, as long as the rains keep up. I'm sure we won't have a problem with that in Seattle though.
