I'm having a problem with pill bug infestation in my outdoor patch... and it's starting to get bad. I go out to it a few times a day and pull at least 10 of them off and OUT of the patch... they're actually burrowing into the patch and eating up everything. Has anyone else had this problem? How can I get rid of them? I'm frantically searching the internet for information, but anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.

I've also had a problem with pill bug infestation in my outdoor garden. I just tried scouring the net and found few organic solutions. From what I read they aren't much of a problem with vegetable gardens because they feed mostly on decomposing vegetable matter. But that means they feed directly on our fungal garden.

Capsaicin is often used for pest control. But I didn't find anything that said it would work.
Pill bugs are not bugs, they are crusteaceans!

I bet diatomaceous earth would help.

They are not insects but they are still bugs... just like snails.

haha, i've got it all under control. i've been looking and found out that if you put a half a cantaloupe near the grow and squish the other half up and spray it around the grow, the pill bugs will go away. i guess they don't like cantaloupe or it's poisonous to them. i also found that they really, really like a moist environment, so that's another reason they were so drawn to the outdoor casing... ugh. i hate those little bastards.
