is it bruising or mold?

sorry i dont have any pics, but ill try to give a good description:
I have two cakes that have been dunked and placed in my terrarium, they seemed perfectly fine, but after about a day or two a bluish grey color started showing up on them,,, its not like a single growth, basically its showing up on the parts of the cake that are more "raised" (the cake is kinda bumpy, so its mostly on the bumps) which is why i think it might be bruising, since i did handle them by hand when cleaning them off before dunking, would it be safe to wait and see if it spreads, since i would assume that bruising does not spread... or should i trash them? they dont smell or really look like growth, just discoloration... please any suggestions are pics to compare them to would be great. thanks!

Sounds like bruising to me. Just give a few days to make sure it doesn't spread, as you said. Sorry, don't have any comparable pics.
